Schlemmer is the contrast to the Bauhaus and it relates to the body and to the function, but its intellectual agenda and that of the corset are the same: to produce a new form. The corset clings to the body and changes it, while in Schlemmer it moves away and enlarges it. There is something in the structures and shapes of the pottery that reminded me of a corset.
